Ocean Break

Wildlife, whale watching, shops and clubs, Magic Mountain Family Recreation Park and Top Fun Amusement Park are all within 5 minutes drive of Ocean Break. National Parks and State Forests offer the visitor fabulous places to explore. Take a scenic drive to nearby Tathra Beach historic wharf and visit the numerous art galleries along the way. At Bega you can sample some of the country's finest cheeses at the Bega Cheese Factory and also visit the local wineries. Lots to see and do near Tura or just relax and soak up the sun.

Golf Courses

City Week of Golf: 1st to 7th November 2008
A tournament open to Men and Ladies with recognised Australian golf handicaps. The tournament is played on Eden, Bermagui, Candelo, Tathra, Bega and Tura Beach golf courses during Melbourne Cup week annually.

Merimbula

Merimbula is only 5 minutes drive from Ocean Break and has good shopping and several restaurants and cafes. There is a cinema and tourist bureau as well as a large supermarket. The hotel near the bridge has excellent dining and wine selection.

National Parks

Ben Boyd National Park

Named after Ben Boyd who in 1842 established his whaling operations in Twofold Bay, this park abounds with history and the remains of old Davidson Whaling Station can still be visited today. Spectacular coastal scenery is a major feature with rugged cliffs, rock formations, sea caves and hills covered with banksia forests and flowering heaths. The Northern section of the park is located 8km north of Eden and the southern section is 18km south of Eden.

Bournda National Park

This park has outstanding conservation value, containing beaches, fresh and saltwater lakes, lagoons and creeks and a variety of birds and wildlife. Activities to be enjoyed include swimming, fishing, canoeing or watching the wildlife. Located 20km south-east of Bega.

Mimosa Rocks National Park

Situated 22km north-east of Bega this park features a jagged coastline with natural rock formations, caves, cliffs and headlands and is a favorite for surfers, fishermen, divers and birdwatchers.

Mount Imlay National Park

A rough and steep 3km track from the end of Burrawang Forest Road provides access to this park which offers spectacular views of the coast and forest from Mt Imlay.

Located 20km south of Eden.
